Carleton Place Newspaper Look-ups

Traditionally, this is the time of year that people seem to come to the library to research their family trees.  One resource we have that Ancestry does not, are the Carleton Place newspapers on microfilm.  These newspapers are name indexed for births, marriages & deaths from 1850 to 1929.  We will do quick look-ups in these indexes for you, as long as you have an exact birth, marriage, or death date.  If we find the person you are looking for, we can email a copy of the newspaper announcement to you.  Contact us at: cppllocalhistory@yahoo.ca if you would like a look-up, and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
